“Itachi!” The raven-haired man stopped in his tracks. Turning to your running form, you reach up to him and almost bumped onto his back, which you luckily stopped yourself in time.

Panting heavily, you grasp the middle of your chest and and look up at the male with fear growing in your eyes. He noted them and wanted to grab you and pull you to his chest. But he did not.

“You’re going, aren’t you?” you panted out.
“I am.” His eyes softened and dropped his head low. He didn’t want to see your teary face. But you didn’t cry.

You were sad. But you didn’t cry. That would only make him worry instead. So you smiled softly.

“It’s going to be okay. Do what you need to do.” You looked into his eye and smiled as best as you could.

Itachi was surprised to find you smiling at such a situation. But he smiled, too after all those years.

Before you knew it, you were engulfed by warm arms and a meaningful kiss to your comforted lips.

You shone the lights on him, despite his sins. And that was the last of Uchiha Itachi that you saw of him.
