Dog Adventures [7]

Once in a while, you kind of have trouble getting dog toys for the brothers, since they didn't really take much liking to them for some reason. But no matter! You have some ways of figuring things out what they may like if you observe. And your way of observing is to stare at them at a very uncomfortably close angle when you get the chance to.

One thing you noticed is that both of them are very good towards you. In a way, it means that they are very clingy to your presence and often it makes things sort of difficult. At least they don't paw at doors while you're in the shower, and sit there quietly. At least you think they sit there quietly.

Another thing is that they like to chase things that irk them, or interest them. Like fleas, they chase them and often kill it. Like butterflies, they chase it to the deepest places of earth. Which resulted in them almost getting run over once.

It still didn't help the fact that they are very hard to read. Having never taken care of a dog before, you were stooped, but you had your ways. Dog management books, advice, and your boss.

"I've never really met dogs like them before, seeing as they don't like chew toys." Boss shrugged, scratching the back of his head. He observed Ichigo and Hichigo wrestling each other in the box.
"I dunno, but they like to fight with each other a lot, I noticed." You wondered.
"Hm.... And they say dogs are the most peace-loving animals on earth. Many some aren't born like that, or it's their way of self defense."
"Maybe."
"At any rate, why not have them interact with other dogs? I know a good dog cafe near your place." Boss suggested.
"Really? I never knew there was a dog cafe near me." You said, surprised.
"It just came out, but it's really popular."

Considering the idea from your boss, the next morning, you took Ichigo and Hichigo for a walk there.

"Good morning, you guys! I'll take you somewhere you never been to before, because I feel like it!" You announced lazily.

Throwing on your clothes, you got dog collars and wrapped them around the puppies' necks with their names on it. They observed their collars with curiosity and even sniffed it. Of course, they never tried one on before, so they were cautious. Hooking a leash to their collar, you warned them not to leave your side.

"Got it? This is for keeping you guys close to me. And I can't carry you guys all the time, can I?"
"Arf!"

Walking out the door, you took a look at the instructions Boss you. It was a bit confusing, seeing as it was messily written. Luckily, you still made out the scribbles and made it to the cafe safely and carefully. Finding all sorts of dogs in the cafe with their owners, you led Ichigo and Hichigo to where they are and ordered a [drink].

Sitting on a chair outdoors with your drink in hand, you looked down at Ichigo and Hichigo who sat down by your feet and looking up at you, confusedly.

"Aren't you guys supposed to make some friends here?"
"..."
"Uh... Why not go play with the others? I'm just chilling here with my [drink], so run along!"
"..."
"Okay~ What's wrong? I can't be your only friend you know? It'll make people think I'm paranoid."
"Arf!"
"At least you can answer."

After a pointless with the puppies, you saw two friends walk up to you and greet you.

"Hi! I'm Orihime Inoue!" The taller, orange-haired girl spoke, waving to you.
"I'm Rukia Kuchiki." The shorter black haired girl agreed.
"May we sit with you?"
"Sure."

Orihime and Rukia sat on your table and asked about your dogs.

"Are those your dogs? They're SO~ cute!" Orihime gushed.
"Yeah. I kind of adopted one of them, and the other was thrust into my hands." You replied. Ichigo smirked at Hichigo. Slap.
"Are they brothers, because they seem really similar?" Rukia asked, looking at them.
"I guess. They were abandoned by their family, so I guess it went separately. The orange one is Ichigo and the other one is Hichigo."
"Hi~ Ichigo, Hichigo! Say Hi to my Uyruu and Chad! They are both really strong doggies!" Orihime said, introducing her dogs.

Uryuu has raven blue hair, parted separately, and he wears white with glasses. He also has a stern expression. Chad has curly chocolate hair, which covers his eyes, and he is of strong build. He also wears jeans and a Hawaiian looking shirt.

"Woah... Both of them seem really independent." You commented in their silent behavior.
"Haha~ They are!"
"I brought Renji and Byakuya with me, again." Rukia said, introducing her dogs with a proud face.

Byakuya is really quiet, but obedient and wears a scarf, and a white haori over a black kimono. Renji wears a black kimono as well, and has bright, red pineapple hair, and he is very competitive.

"They seem cute." You said, observing them.

And in seconds, Ichigo started getting into a fight with Renji, causing some sort of commotion, which ended in both parties getting scratches and bites all over the place. Ichigo growled the best he can and went over to you, treating you like his property. [but not marking property, guys]

"Haha~" You laughed, happily.

If there is one thing you understand better than anyone about Ichigo, it's that he can also be VERY competitive.
